  1. TNT seems like you the one with the issues... and if you are not interested in the subject, why comment? Maybe you are sour.. who knows.. if I look at what you posted.... Plus, fully agree amoryns, have a valid point.. and also bear in mind, they have changed the results..
  2. Kulula sucks big time.. not only over charge cyclist, they have crap attitudes. About 3 weekends ago, we paid R 1600.00 for 2 mountain bikes. When I logged this on hellopeter.com, some staff member phoned, indicating to me to buy baggage online, to save cost, however, when asked in the online magazine, the CEO's state they want to save the consumer money, they are reflecting rubbish. Also as per the statement of the lady with whom I spoke, is that the policy excludes payment for golf bags, as the management decided it should reflect it in the policy. When we flew back to DC and back, we had to pay another R 600 for our bike bags. Only to get again attitude from staff, even calling us darling. At the end they are screwing over cyclist and hope less people will be using Kulula in the future, and perhaps start using Mango. They at least charge you only R200 and seems with the cyclist we spoke too, seems they are more helpful then Kulula. . At the end, Kulula won't change to assist the cyclist, as their management don't care. Funny thing is, we have to cough up exorbitant amount of money to transport our bicycles, whilst you find some individuals boarding the aeroplane, have bigger bags they are taking on the plane and not getting charged for it. I don't want to use Kulula anymore and wish in a way can encourage cyclist to see how they will get screwed over by Kulula.
  3. At the end in the ladies Vets category, it's about only 4 people participating in the road race, so, is it worthwile to have the race? Why not work on a point system based on certain races? This, as per your time results, you are allocated a seeding point. At the end of the year, according to this, get a invitation and ensuring that more than 4 cyclist will compete. Will make it a fair race and more cyclist in the age category will participate.
  4. I'm amazed at the level of anger & malevolence a different point of view gets met with. I think it reflects pretty badly to be honest. Can see your ignorance in what is happening in SA? Clearly you haven't had a gun pointed at you or were hit in the face with the back of a pistol. Wake up.. smell the damn coffee!! I hope that the bastards trying to criminals will be shot, not once, but a few times to feel their pain and die.. This, I hope that more SA citizens will take action.. I hope that more SA citizens will post these type of messages on any available forum, to show the criminals we getting tired. Maybe we should print this out and provide to the people on the street, to show them what could happen. Please post more of these success stories, to show to ignorant people, like yourself, the reality of the crime in SA!sptlsb12010-05-21 05:53:19
  5. The idiots that was at our property on the 30th of April 2010, again tried their luck at Arkansas Street, Berario, yesterday evening. The ******* (excuse my language) work in 3, and their getaway vehicle is a blue Mazda Midge. Apparently, the day before they were at Norman Drive, Northcliff, where they stolen a Jeep. The best of all, the police are aware of teh ******* with the blue Mazda Midge, but, again, they get away and aint caught.
  6. Not to sure if this has been posted.. but, look at this guys comments.. in afrikaans though.. http://www.beeld.com/Content/MyBeeld/Briewe/1976/74e98af421224073a1db59fed4282d1e/29-03-2010-09-48/Fietsryers_dink_hulle_kan_ry_soos_hulle_wil
  7. Ok so you don't have the experience to do the job. I bet you never used that excuse when you finally got some chick drunk enough to pop your cherry. The truth is that a bike "mechanic" is a human being, two arms, two legs, a reasonably functioning brain and a bit of common sense. Hopefully you posess these qualities too with the obvious difference being that you actually give a sh!t about your bike. Put a little effort in and learn a lot. It's easier than riding a bike when you know how. I like the fact that you can make a judgement how I feel about my bike. The question arise, then why do you think I take my bike to a LBS to be serviced.. this is to ensure that my bike is in top notch condition.. this, I spend a lot of money to ensure that nothing is wrong with my bike and well looked after. Just show you the arrogance you have, making a judgement, without knowing the facts. Plus, as a matter of fact, I know the basics of how to repair a bike or change things on a bike.. even being from the opposite sex.. again, making a judgement, that I will make a chick drunk.. just show me what your mentality might be and what you do.. The question arise, why should I service my bike.. isn't why we have LBS?? Why should I waste time if there is someone employed to do the job?? Again, on thehub, you can't voice your opinion.. there is always a person, who knows more.. makes you think..
  8. Shouldn't you have investigated the fact before hand, of any cost, before you plan to cycle somewhere?? Then, again, if you know you going to cycle for the hours you try to brag about, shouldn't you always carry additional money with you??? Basic rules to apply, always carry more money with you, if you know you going to cycle for a particular timeframe, as you never know what will happen.
  9. Watched SC last night and find that it's becoming more apparent, even in the cycling magazines, you don't find any coverage of women cycling. This, I am asking a question, is it only the guys who are doing races or am I under the impression that women don't participate in any races, whilst they do? Good example, the Mankele race, Legend Gorge.. they only showed the guys, why didn't they show the women.. For road races... Lost city?? Yes, they showed the last 5km's?
  10. I have so far only received good service from Northcliff Cycles, off Beyers Naude, Blackheath Shopping Centre
  11. Amazing to see what attitude some of these hubbers actually have on the forum. Probably the people that would like to say the most, and perhaps think they known the most, do it because they can't perhaps get laid that often, therefore trying to show how macho they might be on thehub, or, as they might say have some other problem? I think if you have something to sell on the hub, give the person at least an opportunity to sell what they have, then trying to make a statement what you think. If you have a problem about what the person is selling or at what price they are selling it for, don't make it your problem. I think the hub should perhaps have more strict rules pertaining to the type of attitude and comments can be made on this "open" forum. I also would suggest that if a person would like to sell something on the hub, it should only allow you to advertise it, and not give any idiot the opportunity to make idiotic comments. As per the comment of "if you don't like it, sell it on gumtree" - wouldn't you think the reason why individuals are trying to sell it on the hub, is due to a bigger cycling market they can perhaps target? So in essence, as per the statement, it actually concludes to why should you then use thehub to advertise things, were you will obtain snide or invalid comments, if you can use other sites that might be more beneficial to sell your things without getting snide or invalid comments? Again, before I might get a snide, idiotic or invalid comment, I know it's an "open" forum
