  1. Apparenlty the 65km (or whatever it was) turned out to be 40km.So pleased i decided not to ride.My wife was keen to do the 25km but sorry i refuse to pay R125 for 25km or actually only 18km!!Any idea who timed the event - cant find the results anywhere
  2. its a different type of "toughness" (day2 sani). the first 30 odd kms is all single track down to the river, then you virtually climb for the next 60 odd kms, the climbs are not as long as the notties but some are steeper and rutted, you will have to get off and push now and again. all in all, if you managed the notties fine then you should also not have a problem with day2 ...BUT you will feel it, try make sure you can get in a massage if they still have open timeslots. ALSO remember it will be the second day of riding so you will not be as fresh as you where on saturday..
  3. it would be nice if they could have free delivery forever!!!
  4. hi there i have misplaced / forgot my cycling shoes in the showers at Hill2hill (i think). if anybody has per chance found a pair of size 9 Specialist black cycling shoes (well worn and smelly), might still have my wet socks in it? if so please PM me, i would REALLY appreciate it if i can be reunited with my shoes. regards werner jonas
  5. same one for me.....lets hope.....!!!
  6. i agree wholeheartedly, they rock!! i have ordered a couple of things from CRC, prices are very good, (and delivery is very fast) local industry needs to wake up, i have noticed that Chris Willemse Cycles(CWC), are sometimes not far off from CRC... but i do still support my LBS, i dont try and fit parts myself and rather take it to them to fit, so they are still getting my business even if only a small portion.... once they start competing in price with CRC and CWC i will without doubt buy from them(again)....until then they will have to settle for sloppy seconds.. i think there is a saying: if you want loyalty....get a dog!
  7. the problem with roadies in Pmb is that they think the line runs ACROSS the road and cars etc have to drive AROUND them into oncoming traffic.... i ride both, but have slowly but surely stopped doing any road because of the general lack of road etiquette, ROADIES display. and i dont want to be ASSociated with that. whenever i see an article in the paper about another cyclist being knocked my first thoughts are "was it the cyclists fault"? SAD.... besides MTB is more fun.
