  1. What 5.10's did you get and how have they been treating you?
  2. No stock of the Freerider or impact VXi's. What about the Freerider canvas?
  3. Ok thanx. Not sure whether to go for the free riders or impact VXi's.
  4. So what are the Freerider like and what type of riding have you been using them for? Not sure whether I should go for the free riders or low impacts
  5. Anyone have any advice on the new 5.10 Freerider contact flat pedal shoe? Compared to say the impact low older Gen 5.10?
  6. Hi guys, Been riding jonkers pretty often with huge success on my stumpy. Just doing some digging and am trying to find out how much larger one could go on the stumpy fsr travel wise? The standard Revelation does the job well however in the near future I will be looking into more travel for my stumpy. Any forks worth looking at now? Dawels
  7. Loving the comp carbon. Havent been able to get the suspension setup perfect yet though!
  8. I paid 38k, for the comp carbon with a dropper and flat bennies included. I havent been able to get enough of the carbon frame. G Spot or Jonkershoek is a dream on this bike. I couldve gone for the PYGA oneten but then the price of the frame went up to 20k and waiting list on to July, but this was two months ago. You can get the PYGA under 35k but then not well equiped as the standard comp fsr I rate.
  9. Why not work and improve the ones at onderpapagaaiberg? They are pretty decent just zero riders
  10. How tall are you and what area do you rude?
  11. What's the availability oh the alu fsr? I ordered an alu stumpy a month ago and they were all sold out. XL and L they said. Then got 14% off a comp carbon and a dropper post from guys in somerset.
  12. My housemate is offering to swop this helmet for my old blackberry which seems a good deal however this helmet has f all ventilation. Maybe drill some holes, but still won't compare to a purposefully made trail helmet? Those helmets you guys mentioned seem to be a lot better priced than I imagined, thanx for the help. Pictured I've taken of the bike are too large to be uploaded so will have to wait for a computer to show you guys this sexy beast :-).
  13. Howzit guys, So I went for the comp carbon, love it and only been for 3 rides. Need some more advice from all you guys though regarding cycling kit. All mountain helmets and riding baggies? Noticed that they are *** expensive so wondering about if its worth just ordering the best helmet online - something liket the URGE Enduro Matic - instead of stuffing around with something second hand or cheaper? Baggie prices are also between 1 and 2k! Also who's also a begginer and wants to join for a ride this long weekend sometime? Dawels

  15. Does anyone know how much a tallboy goes for these days?
  16. Outdoor Escape can do this RM for me. Specifically looking for a 29er http://www.mtbr.com/cat/bikes/29er-fullsuspension/rocky-mountain/altitude-970/prd_492667_7787crx.aspx
  17. Ill have to go ride the altitude. Just remember that I have to enjoy the climbs as well! The slayer will be amazing dh but as RM said is a goat uphill. Concept store in somerset west quoted me 38k for com carbon fsr stumpy with dropper post (3500) and flat pedals (1000).
  18. Ive dealt with the concept store in Somerset and BMT in Stellies and both have said there are no stumpies around! Ive emailed a few stores but doublt they will have one and if they do as good a price that Ive been 'offered' before.
  19. So some bad news guys, Stumpjumper FSR comp sold out. So basically spend 38k on a carbon stumpjumper or wait a couple of months for a PYGA which Im not too keen on anymore. Any thoughts on other trail/enduro bikes to compare to the alu stumpjumper at 27k? Would look at the Rocky Altitude but it only comes in a 650b. .......................fml
  20. Another worry Ive always had is the fact that alu is always more reliable?
  21. I tried and i preferred the responses I got from the guys at revolution cycles. Reckoned 29er alu stumpy for my price limit which is 35k at the moment. I want to end up jumping some decent jumps, drop offs etc etc. Baggy shorts flat pedals and a decene helmet is whats appealing to me. Why 650? Everyone Ive chatted to has said 29er. The 650 must have more travel then?
  22. Where's the best place to look for decent shoes for flat pedals and a decent helmet etc etc? I agree on them not giving a dropper post for free, but will try my luck now that Im off for a week!
  23. Engineering week is a bitch.... So looks like Ill be going for the stumpjumper as the pyga frame has gone up to 20k! I can get the standard stumpy for 27k. What extra's are worth looking at to make up the 35k? Also flat pedal shoes and proper helmets??
  24. TBone7 WP, did you keep the original parts or 'trade' them in for the new rims etc?
  25. http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb8390126/p4pb8390126.jpg This is what I'm hoping to do in the near future.
