  1. What about the cover being stolen off the back when I go for nightruns or during a ride?
  2. Hi guys, I've seen a few bakkies in stellenbosch with decent 'covers' for the tailgates which are then used to just chuck bike on the back. How much do these covers cost and where can I look for them etc etc? Dawels
  3. Unfortunately the EVO will be way too expensive! My bugjet is 35k remember! Another topic worth getting advice on is servicing costs? I'm leaning the way of the stumpy due to the fact that PYGA's frame is now 20k...this will have to wait until I'm a qualified engineer. The spez will be more expensive to service right? Or will it be an investment to buy the tools to service by myself? The carbon stumpy is 40k which is also too expensive, so what I'm hoping for is to get the best spec'd alu stumpy frame for 35k. What should this get me? Dawels
  4. Bro lets keep to the topic. Thanx
  5. Doesn't putting extra travel on over the specified numbers then change the whole geometry?
  6. Wow, thanx for the replies! Makes it so much more difficult when everyone thinks both bikes are amazing. My first choice would be the PYGA, however after doing some research and finding out that its an 'aggressive' XC bike with less travel than the stumpy then makes things complicated! But I'm a serious rookie. Maybe it will help to add that what I'm keen for is to get jumping gap jumps and taking enduro trails to the maximum. Have always thought a mtb looks much sexier with flat pedals - is this just a riders preference? Or better for jumping etc? In the end it comes down to what alu frame combined with the 'leftoves' for the build will give me a better complete bike to ride for a couple of years. Uphill and downhill. Another thing is that once I've gained experience to then push harder, which bike would take it further? I'm guessing both bikes. Evo sounds amazing but guessing it will be over 40k. Staying up late at night dreaming of each bike doesn't help either!
  7. I need to then find one to test ride!?
  8. Im 2m tall thus 29er!? Id take the evo however some people say its too much travel for me(being the stumpjumper) and is it really 40k?
  9. Hi guys, Basically I have about 40k to spend on a new 29er. Ill be riding trails and hopefully get my skill set up for some decent enduro tracks and jumps. What bike will be better suited? I know the Stumpjumper has more travel than the PYGA and is a trail bike. The PYGA on the other hand is an 'aggressive' XC bike. I have tested the S WORKS stumpy and it felt amazing and have only heard good things about the PYGA. How does the PYGA make up for the lack of travel etc? Regards David
  10. Hi guys, Basically I have 35k and was set on the Specialized Stump Jumper FSR until I researched the PYGA oneten 29er. Will this price get me a complete PYGA and is the PYGA really that much better that the trail bikes from Specialized and other reliable brands? Ill be doing most of my riding in Jonkershoek or areas close to Stellenbosch. Looking for a bike that has more travel than a standard XC mtb. So maybe the Specialized Enduro? Hopefully my dream can come true with the PYGA. David
