  1. Is the Morewood Zula 26" frame not made locally and the 650b Zula is from the east or did Morewood start sourcing from the east from 2012? Anyone know? I spent some time in the UK and Europe last year and the folks abroad could not seem to stop raving about the Morewood Zula when i told them i have one. Walked into a few bike stores abroad and most said both the 26" and 650b Zula was the best full suspension frames they have ridden. Won bike of the year as well in 10/11 so the Zula is like a legend over there. The 650b Zula has also received rave reviews. The Morewood brand is very well respected abroad. The Pyga and Morewoods are like the SA boutique brands abroad from what people have told me.
  2. Only noticed this thread now after posting this in another thread earlier... i am a weekend rider and started mountain biking almost 3 years ago on an entry level 26" bike then i purchased a Specialized Epic 29er. I only ride weekends So i decided to sell the Epic and i bought my cousins friends Morewood Zula 26" and Oh man is it a great bike. I realized one thing, Any of the 3 wheel sizes will get you up and down the mountain with ease if its a decent bike. Only the pros need to worry about fast times and all that as they do it for a living not me :-) the rest is all just marketing nonsense. To be honest I prefer my Morewood Zula over the Epic 29er i had.

    Hi New here

Also new here but been mountain biking over two years now. Haha that ladies and bicycles thread is quite interesting :-)
  7. Wow. All i can say. Haha
  8. Get a decently specced second hand bike. Thats what i did after looking around in bike stores and noticing the overpriced entry level bikes in stores. You can get a decently specced used full suspension 26er for around R7k as well. I purchased a Specialized epic 29er after riding a hardtail for awhile but i only ride over weekends so i thought i might as well sell it and get a well specced 26er and pocket Whats leftover as it will get me up and down the mountains just as any other wheel size would. Then i purchased my cousins friends Morewood Zula 26er as he was going abroad. He first loan it to me for few days and i simply loved the bike. Great looking in White and i even enjoy it more than the Epic 29er i had. Shop around and you will find something in your budget and to your liking.
