  1. Thanks all, much appreciated @BuffsVintageBikes indeed a stunning , smooth ride, from the very short spin I have had so far @Zebra thanks , yes not really my flavour, but if I have the urge to restore to period correct status will definitely give you shout
  2. Need some guidance from the retro experts on here I'm considering buying this Holdsworth from a mate, and would appreciate some views on valuation (he bought the bike from a family member who was the original owner for a very low value which is not necessarily representative of realistic value). It's a 1983 model with all original parts (save for pedals), 6 speed. In very good condition , usual scuff marks for a bike this age. New bb, new cables. cheers
  3. Another big thumbs up for the Rapide Tigre frame, in whichever guise you choose Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde
  4. Great! Many thanks, I have sent him a pm
  5. Hi Guys I'm in need of brakehoods for an older bike that I'm fixing up. Can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of where to source please? It's for an 8 speed Campagnolo Veloce group set, see pic attached
  6. My Bfe When it was nice and shiny after I had just put the new wheels on... And after some additional upgrades, in its natural habitat
  7. Thanks GrumpyOldGuy! Much appreciated, will give them a call
  8. Any advice would be appreciated on which are the best courier options to make use of to ship a mtb.. I have potential buyer for my bike, which would require shipping it from Jhb to George, so my questions: - which are the recommended companies - what would the approximate cost be - do they take full responsibility for any potential damage, or is additional insurance required for this Any other thoughts, suggestions? Thanks
