  1. I own the older version, the am5000 and basicly same bike. That bike has an awsume climbing capability and handles smooth on trail and technical places. I owned a mission3000 before which is more a XC bike and i am climbing steep hills much faster on the AM.The rear end stays fairly stiff when pushing it.. Rear linkage = rocksolid, this bike has been through tough places, Swazi Frontier, Sabie Experience Hill2Hill, and it still appears as a new bike. Go for it, THE BEST BUY DEF!!! The 120 1000 goes at my lbs for R20300 in Newcasle KZN.
  2. Buy Polar boet, they do everything a garmin does, and never had problems in the past years
  3. i concur, carbon frames you break like twice a year if youre a hard rider
