Hi guys, My Suunto ambit 2 strap has bust after 2 years of solid use. In trying to change it I have been told the watch needs to be sent away and can take 3-4 weeks. No good for me as I need it for riding/running now! Question: does anyone have an old broken ambit 2 with a strap lying spare? Happy to pay. Alternatively any other ideas to sort the problem out quicker? Thanks

Agreed - anyone from cycle lab or such on the hub who can shed some light on this? Have a mate coming from jhb tomorrow so could get him to pick me up a pair and bring but seems like a hack

I just phones cycle lab in tokai (only one in Cape Town at the moment) and the deal only applies to online purchases according to them. So basically I can order for R1999 online or go in store here and buy for R3400? ? Makes no sense surely if you running a special it should be nationwide. .

Is the hout bay side of chappies closed to cyclists? I rode there today with intention of heading to lookout point and doing a repeat or two. When I stopped at the bottom to take arm warmers off the electronic board said "falling rocks, no cyclists". I decided not to take the risk and turned around- there were plenty of guys who did head up and plenty coming back down..

Sho that was tougher than I expected- not the course, just trying to keep up with you gents! Wil join for next one. Btw looked on Strava(my rides auto upload)- Niki Terpstra did that course in 29 mins and averaged 380w in 2013 TDF

Scary that it happened on a route so many of us use in Cape Town. Can't imagine what family and friends must be going through - thoughts with those who need them. RIP
