What is the best headset? Don't want to spend much more than a R1000, but it would be very nice to have something that lasts for longer than a year (to a year and a half), and that does not weigh down the bike too much. But if there has to be a compromise let it be to the durability side. I'm currently looking at the PRO R11 headset which I could get for +-R650. Help please!!!!

If we ride like this here in Upington that's fine, because you get about 10 vehicles on a 4 hour ride, and you can see the vehicles from at least 500m's away. But there it is not the case. You dipsh!ts you are going to get yourself killed, if you don't die, you will cause someone to get angry about cyclists in general and someone innocent wil pay for your di!ckheadedness. Do you need to (aka is it essential to) fit a sram front deraileur when you switch from shimano to sram? I want to switch from shimano to sram, but I have to do it on a budget, so I will eventually switch but is it nessecary, in the beginning?
