  1. Had mine for year or so very impressed the best IDT i have used.

Whats all this crap roadies / mtbers, we all ride bikes to get fit or for fun or to race dont we?.I am a roadie well more triathlon but anyway just bought a mtb rode it 3 times the last ride 2 laps N/farms entered the 75km monster and finished in good shape no falls, got frustrated on the climbs riders stopping and or falling in front of me which left me having to walk untill i could get going again.From a skills level the downhills need a lot of work had to walk a few of the more scary ones and was amazed at how the mtbers flew past me on the rideable downhills anyway something to work on.I really enjoyed the race and will do more.

I use a product perpeteum from hammer nutrion it gves you the correct amount of cal,protein and fats you require on the long ride,i use what they call a multi bottle format were you mix your cal intake into a 4hr bottle 280cal per hr *4 you then sip every 20min, at the special needs station on lap 3 pick up a 2 hr bottle to finish the ride if your ride is longer or shorter adjust accordingly,I will then pick up a water bottle at the water stations drink 2-300ml then throw the bottle,this means you only carrying one bottle on the course.If you go to the web site www.hammernutrition.com they have free downloads explaining in detail its a good read like 50 pages but well worth the effort. Ialso take e- caps on the bike and run this replaces your electrolytes and prevents cramping. The product is available in SA contact seanb@polka.co.za based inCT.Good Luck
  4. I d'ont get it either done 7000kms on mine had my first puncture on tues the wear indicators are still good for a few more kms. Best tyre i have used.

    The good news is you can wear a wetsuit,which will make it easier,do the TI course and then swim as often as you can build up to the distance in intervals start with 100s then progress to 400 take rests in between the sets as you improve shorten the rests.Good luck

  8. I had that alias before they started with there online shop,used it on various sites.Check the? after the 2h 20 (i wish) Ihave to agree with you regarding the amount of events in the UK, In the US there is as many as 20 a month in season just check at the new 70.2 series
  9. Sir Fred SBR-Swim Bike-Run 220 is taken from the UK mag Tri 220.I believe 220 being the out dated method of rating your maxHR 220 - Age,or in my case my marathon time 2hr 20min?

  14. I would like 140-160 my normal sat ride is 140 i will fit in with you guys but lets make it longer than 80, it could be a training ride for the Jock to get the Ks into the legs.
