Hi my byike skips gears when I backpedal,I have a single chainring up front and 8 speed in the rear with an external BB,but the chain only skips in 1st,2nd and 3rd all the other gears are fine.Please help as this is very anoying.When the bike is in 8th the chain is lined up perfectly with the front chainring but when in 1st gear it is quite skew.Yes it is an 8 speed chain. mad bout mtb2009-08-23 13:05:08

Hi SwissVan the wheel moves side to side about a centimeter.no can't feel any monement.It has a standerd GT 1.0 chucker hub.
