Avids will anly feel k@k if you dont bleed them right, if you do the are excelent.

Same story here. Not a single problem with my avids. I've had juicy 5 and still have ultimates and i actualy prefer the feel of avid over shimano

yea their thinking is that the riders will ride more flashy ( dangerously ) to get a better shot for the camera. I mean really! if you ride in a uci race that means that you can really ride good so you are already pushing the limit when riding.:blink: They just wana take away the fun

I agree with iRide, The Captain is an awesome tire eventhough it doesnt look very grippy. I'm running mine as a back tyre and it really lasts

hahaha, I'm really keen on getting XO cause i dont like the "on-off" feeling of shimano. Are the still like that or has it been changed??

Has anybody ridden both brakes ? What is the verdict in terms of performance and overall feel of the brake ONLY, I'm not interested in the maintenace aspect as I would rather have a better feeling brake that i have to bleed more than one that feels **** and lasts forever
