  1. Question about the finish time tags, if you do not who in the family is which one, is there a website or way to figure it out? Or is the only option to go the starting line and find out which one is which one? Edit: ok got the answer, the number is on the envelope
  2. Well I did the shorter route, and when those long rout guys shot past us (after the route merger), I had a lot of respects for them..
  3. Is there a 2024 page? if not. Really enjoyed the ride/race today. Always a winner when there is potatoes at the water points. ;-) And lucky that the weather played along
  4. What is the conditions of the trails and routes? Thinking of going there again this weekend
  5. Thanks again for all the organisers, marshals, traffic officers, pointsmen & woman. Really enjoyed the ride, and the new people that I met on the route, especially that made the last few km fly past. I know for a lot of people it might sound like waste of money to spend on a route you can ride for free, but the benefits for me is that there is additional safety, and also supporting the young riders who get exposed to group rides.
  6. Thank you to all involved. We really enjoyed the short route. did not really get involved in the after race aspects so cannot comment on that. Just always amaze me the amount of coordination, planning and people involved in such an event. Ok. After reading some of the comments.. luckiky we were nearly late for our start so by then the parking was. Not so much of an issue and I liked the new timing chips but did not realised they just temp... i liked the position than trying to find a spot on your handlebars. The fact that they temp is not so good.
  7. As far what most people indicated that the frame was actually not that bad.
  8. The weather today.. wow, not sure what it looked like on the Peninsula side, but in the Northern Subs I don't think you could have asked for a more perfect day. If today was a actual race day there would have been many that would have had FOMO.
  9. I will test it next time again but as far as I have found it only allows a tap if you are on the tap screen and not when on another one. But I am comfortable that I can be corrected.
  10. Have a vivoactive (linked to investec) and works amazing. If you can tap you can use your Garmin to pay. And if it is above a certain amount you still need to punch in your PIN on the card device.
  11. Does not look like they even did a tubeless conversion
  12. This has now been confirmed, refer to the article
  13. This is really sad news, wonder when they will close off those routes. Just want to thank the landowners for the time they did allow us to ride those sections, and I am sure that the BHC will have something interesting in store for the future.
