  1. I see the event registration for 2026 is opening in two weeks time (2 March), this is really an enjoyable ride out there for anyone interested https://entries.mtb-adventures.co.za/events/81768-hh-tour-2025
  2. Hoping for as smoothly run event as the 99er, and all of the best for the organisers and all volunteers.
  3. Really enjoyed the day, the race and the organisation of the event. Was great to see so many people out there enjoying the race. All the best for those that got injured, saw 3 Ambulances on the long route
  4. Fully agree with your summary, getting to the top I felt truly blessed for the experience and bit of sadness that it was the last bit down home. And just wanted to hold on to the moment a bit longer. It made the travel from the Cape so worth it.
  5. Could be that he looked at the garmin file, which still shows the route as..
  6. Interesting take that they applying with the E-bike, you only allowed to use an e-bike as part of a team, where the one team member MUST be on a 100% human powered bike.
  7. Think the route was changed: vs GPX File:
  8. Was nearly a bit worried about ending the day on the hill, till I saw the word "reverse" lol
  9. Mine too
  10. Hope that you do find some tickets, I saw someone on Friday trying to sell a solo ticket for R10k, but assume that is then already gone? Commenting, to see if there are some banter on this event. Given that it is sold out there is not much about it on bikehub (or did I miss the thread?)
  11. Think it might have been the long weekend. They moving it next year a bit earlier so I am really hoping more participants will make use of it as it is such a classic event on the calendar
  12. Participated again in this event this weekend, and what an awesome ride. The weather was really perfect. Thank to all involved
  13. Question about the finish time tags, if you do not who in the family is which one, is there a website or way to figure it out? Or is the only option to go the starting line and find out which one is which one? Edit: ok got the answer, the number is on the envelope
  14. Well I did the shorter route, and when those long rout guys shot past us (after the route merger), I had a lot of respects for them..
  15. Is there a 2024 page? if not. Really enjoyed the ride/race today. Always a winner when there is potatoes at the water points. ;-) And lucky that the weather played along
