  1. I am looking for some advice from those who have done the research... I am currently in the market for a TT bike, that would check all the boxes in terms of being UCI compliant. I am also keen on doing the 2017 Ironman and would like a speed machine for this. I know there are bikes which check both boxes and others where modifications may be required - do you have any recommendations/suggestions? Best value for money? Best bike hands down?
  2. We are after team #61...they still finalising their name...2 minutes is a big gap to cover
  3. Thanks for the lesson...but that would of course assume that a full segment exists (which was not the case a few days back).
  4. I can't believe no one provided a route profile...shame on you Hubbers!
  5. The only downside is it's not specialized
  6. I thought the point of an FTP test was to die by the end!
  7. That puts you at 4.22 watts/kg...if your FTP is 312 for an hour. Impressive! Keep it up!
  8. How is spending 60k on an event any different from borrowing for a car etc... Both equally terrible ideas. My suggestion - sponsorship.
  9. Must be placebo effect then...
  10. Had exactly the same thing! If I understand what my in-house doctor (read: wife) said about this is it seems to linger for anything up to 3 weeks. We decided to only start with the antibiotics after day 10 or so (although you could start earlier, but preferably nothing earlier than day 7). I am currently on day 2 of a 3 day course and already I am feeling back to normal. Get well soon. It's a bugger.
  11. Personally I hate the idea of a 20 minute all out test...even thinking about it kills me. My approach - set the FTP manually and do a workout, specifically Sufferfest's 'A very dark place'. Put on your big boy undies and go to that dark place with them and if you don't feel childbirth pains, push the FTP up until you do! Then tell your wife that childbirth has nothing on Sufferfest...this is the best part. Let me know how it goes!
