Hi yes the epic did do this route 3 times - they will most probably use us again in 2017. I am trying to hook up with other trails - all takes time. There is sand, but mostly in the beginning, but I have noticed, as the trail is getting used, it is getting harder - and Richard threw some gravel on the very sandy areas - We are always fixing it up and tweaking here and there as the comments come in. It is very well sign posted.

Who has been riding the new trails at Honingklip? Well sign posted - beautiful farm with wonderful views, the trails are technical and really do put you to a good work out. There is something for all. Fabulous epic training - the black route is 26km with an elevation of 781m - the blue route is 14.6km with an elevation of 405m. The green route is the easy route. There is an under cover bike wash, warm showers & areas to get dressed. Lockers if you want to keep you items safe - bring your own lock. Safe parking when you done, go to the brewery & have a couple or a bit to eat. You pay R 50.00 and can ride the trail 3 or 4 times on the same day. Hi There was a downhill track, but no longer - if there is enough call for it, it is relatively easy to re-instate - will just need time to get it all cleaned up again, get sign-age and lots of time

Hi, yes it is - the rock wall - up gravel road then follow sign-age. It is an honesty set up - so you fill in your forms, pay your permit fee and go have fun!

Hi I need to set this straight - as much as I would like to take all the glory! Honingklip Farm is owned by the Middelmann's and we rent a building out to the brewery. So, Yes their beer is amazing, but no we do not make it, Mark and Anna do and they deserve the glory. The brewery also has a super little restaurant; chef John makes scrumptious food from mainly fresh, local produce. They open 6 days a week (7 in season) 10 am - 6pm. So after your amazing ride, you can collapse with a beer in hand and some food to fill the belly! WE ARE ALMOST READY - so much has happened - we think we will be open next week-end for a soft opening and officially the 6th December! I will keep all posted

PLEASE NOTE: Ralph Rudd, who has helped us set up the trails, will be riding the proposed Black Trail on Saturday (1st Nov) starting at 07:00.
