  1. I bought a Forerunner 945 from the States that came pre loaded with USA maps. Bought and dowloaded the SA maps from Garmin website (Cost around R300 If memory serves) and all 100%, so I would imagine it would be the same on the Edge?
  2. +1 - Love my Time's - I also have a dodgy knee, so they suit me perfectly!
  3. Keen to hear from the Hubbers who did the race yesterday. Did it for the first time and found it tough as nails! Climbing never seemed to stop! Cramping badly from about 60km so it became a very long day in the saddle!
  4. I've had it happen on Spez Phenom saddles 3 times. The shop I deal with assured me I'm the only one who's had the problem - Clearly that's not the case! Eventually got sick and tired of constantly having to fight with the shop for a warrantly claim and bought a Power comp. So far so good, but a little concerned after reading your post!!
  5. Any feedback on this tyre?? Need to replace both my Tyres and need to know if they are worth the money!
  6. I'm also interested in these tyres (29er version). Anyone tried them yet?
  7. Scott, in my opinion - both good (had both by the way) but the scott has a better spec and the twinloc is a great feature! Scott backup is good, so no need for concern. Seems Like theres an issue with the Anthem frames cracking, but apparently that has been sorted out with the 2016 models? Ride both if possible - but, imho the Scott is a better bike!
  8. I would love it if Silverback SA could explain the situation - There seemed to be a lot of interest in this bike when it was (correction - wasn't) released a year ago! I for one was keen to check it out before buying a new bike - Gave up in the end and bought something else!
  9. Fair Point, BUT, the best advice I can give is to test both (if it's an option!). I went from a Anthem to a Spark and personally, for me, I found the Scott to be more comfortable. Everyones different and R35k is lot's of money - so test if it's possible!
  10. Spark 940's a great bike! Giant Anthem X is also a great option, but if it was my money I would go the Scott route - I'm a big fan of the Twinloc feature and the fact that it comes with the new Shimano XT 2x11 makes it an even more appealing package.
  11. Hi All - I was wondering if anyone has 1st hand experience with the Barzo's? My Racing Ralph Snakeskins are past their best, so I would like to know how the Barzo's compare in terms of grip and rolling resistance. I have been happy with the the Racing Ralphs, BUT, if the Barzo's offer similar rolling resistance with better grip and / or puncture protection, I would be silly not to give them a go!! Any insight would be appreciated! Cheers
  12. I have ridden / tested both - I prefered the Scott! The Twinlock feature won me over at the end of the day! Comfort wise, they were similar even though I felt the riding position of the Scott was a little more aggressive (Not as Upright as the Giant)! Seems to be a lot of Scott bashing on this site - so much so, that I almost didn't bother testing the Scott! Glad I did though!! In the end you have to ride both and see which one you prefer. IMO they are both quality products and you won't go wrong with either of them!
  13. Evo Bikes has Schwalbe Ones (700x25) tubeless advertised on their site! http://www.evobikes.co.za/schwalbe-one-tubeless-700-x-23c.html Cheers
