  1. It seems mentality is "Take money and run!". You must ask your self if you are receiving value for money. Very often that is not the case and now I just simply say "no thanks". If business is supporting any of the causes that I'm interested in then I simply pay with a smile regardless of value for money proposition. On a positive side having vehicle with fridge and awning makes my life much easier these days. If I take kids out for a ride or to the beach I stock with stuff that we might need which is quite big saving considering all the things that kids want to buy in the shop or restaurant.
  2. Wife has same year, model and mileage car. Replacing front discs with brakes at independent is R2600 i guess same is for rear. You need to replace spark plugs (every 100000Km) and that is around R600. Oil and other bits should not be more than R1500. My advice is find good independent mechanic and avoid stealers.
  3. +1 I just want to thank the guys for their hard work!
  4. Where did this precisely happen? I was there around that time. Between first bridge and bridge with rails there were few kids (boys and their girlfriends). As I was going down from second bridge towards path around the "lake" I noticed guy in the bushes, he was walking up towards bridge with hand rails. I could only see lower part of the body (hands, pants, shoes) and he was carrying white bag. Black male fairly decently dressed. I did feel uneasy a bit since I felt he turned around as I was going away. What do you think was the exit route? I'm going there now...
  5. Wife works in better public hospital but still I would not go there. Scary!!
  6. Oh so funny! Littering is a serous problem and as somebody that just started riding seeing how Magic forest is filled with trash makes my blood boil. But this and "parent tread" made this Monday much easier to live with!
  7. Hm bad idea, they could interpret it as a reward and not punishment. Rocky terrain, fairly decent weather, no internet so nobody can report littering. And now that I know that Peanut is a girl, two of them alone on the island would not be a good idea.
  8. No, but we could open this place http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goli_otok and send him and his followers for a bit of reeducation! aleksandar2009-05-25 07:53:29
  9. Congratulations! Excellent name selection! aleksandar2009-05-23 00:45:29
  10. It rides like a wind! I do not have anything to compare it but WOW it feels great. Gear shifting is smooth, ride is very comfortable and disc breaks work like a charm. For now Magic Forest is my only playground until I get fit to tackle other routes.
  11. Thanks guys, I wish I asked this question before buying bike. Now I'm a bit worried, it seems falling is inevitable :-) Maybe bike will look nice with few battle marks (I hope I do not break it). I looked at merida 900 (price was almost the same) but somehow I liked this bike more also I wanted bike that I will not have to upgrade any time soon. After getting it (last weekend) I could not find anything one the net about it and everybody was raving about other bikes so I was a bit worried if I made good decision. Again thanks for your input and if all goes well tomorrow I go for a proper mtb ride
  12. Beginner here so I need some input. Anybody riding it? What is your opinion and why did you decide to buy it? It has nice components (at least to me) mix of Sram x9 and x7 components, Tora 318 front shock and Juicy five breaks. Thanks, Aleksandar
