  2. FPC in Paulshof. JMBC from broadacres: http://www.jmbc.org.za/
  3. Yip, glad I decided to give it a go again. Simon (?) and his guys are doing a great job there. I saw that the Diepsloot guys are up and running again which is awesome. Suppose this is the best time of the year to go - weather is awesome and it not muddy yet.
  4. Went there for a ride yesterday morning with the missus & a couple of mates atfer a loooong absence with all the negative things that happened there in the last couple of months. All I can say is WOW!!! What an excellent ride. Really enjoyed that new single track next to the river. Lots of visible "policing" by the security company. Bacon and egg roll at the end really seals the deal! Will definitely be back! Here's to hoping that the developments earmarked for the area gets bogged down in bureaucratic red tape....
  5. Very nice! Both.
  6. Watse wheelbuild het jy voor gevra en wat charge hulle jou as ek mag vra. Ek is overdue vir nuwe wiele.
  7. A link Johan Borman posted awhile ago regarding chain wear. Very useful info: http://pardo.net/bike/pic/fail-004/000.html
  8. Here is the link to the Google Earth map I was referring to: http://www.mg.co.za/specialreport/on-the-trail-of-2010-and-beyond Scroll down the webpage.
  9. You can park at the Mug and Bean in Cambridge crossing on Witkoppen, or if you want to park a bit closer you can park at Sandton Butchery just off Cambridge drive. You can also park next to the route down at the bottom of 12th but I would not recommend it. Parking at M&B adds an extra kay or so and a lekker hill. Route from Paulshof is slightly up hill - only very slightly and relatively flat. When you get to Willian Nichol you need to go up Republic till the the empty field near some power station looking thing. From there you go down the hill through the field and right into Delta Park. Google "Braamfontein Google Earth" and you will get a google earth map for said trail.
  10. Thanks. R90 a spoke. That is an expensive biltong hook.
  11. Johan, how do the XT wheel set rate on quality vs price vs weight scale?
  12. Hope Pro II's on Stans ZTR Olympic or ZTR 355 rims. If you have more cash, change the Hope's to Chris King hubs. DT Swiss Competition double butted spokes.
  13. RS, trust you to come here with those tendencies, those racist tendencies. This is a revolutionary site!
  14. What is a "Freelance agent in the cycling industry"?
  15. Haha! Brilliant! One problem though... Your milk seems to be one of those unbranded imports from China... Maybe that is why the colour is a bit off...
  16. That is almost as sexy as a moustached Russian female midget. Almost...
  17. Assos Mille S5 bib all the way!!!
  18. Screw yous guy! It is waaaay more prettier down the sewerage infested 'Spruit!
  19. Hmm.. Vezuella... Is that not a country in the Americas?
  20. As for Barney Simon. What a true example of that everybody has to work for the man. Years ago he was the perfect example of independence and standing up for oneself and rebelling against the corporate machine whilst introducing bands at The Station in DBN wearing stove pipe jeans, Doc Maartens drinking Zamaleks out of the old 375ml bottles... Nowadays he is playing easy listening tunes and Nicholas Louw on Jacaranda...
  21. Aah. Brilliant. The perfect soundtrack for this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z19zFlPah-o
  22. Band of Horses. Now we are talking. You should give The Editors and Muse a listen too. As for the local acts: Prime Circle & Seether is the business. I also enjoyed Arapaho from DBN. Whatever happened to them? O ja, forgot to add Aking, FPK & Heuwels Fantasties.
  23. Haha. For sure. I was merrily referring to the um... colour of the colours ie. magenta handle bar with a white saddle & grips, pink slip pink RD and cassette on with white Stan's ZTR 355 rims on blue Hope pro II hubs and skewers and a "memphis belle" painted onto the frame courtesy of Cylceart and.... wait.... I see what you mean...
  24. Hmmm... Always thought so... Seems my suspicions were right... Only their saddles and handle bar widths should differ... And of course the colour schemes.
