True story!

I can still remember, being slightly older than he is, about 16yo... when I watched Peter Withe score the only goal for Aston Villa vs Bayern Munich, against the odds. Lol, at the time I was a Spurs and Villa fan - although, I still think that I chose the better team, lol... I remember Villa having Tony Morely (who set up, aka assisted the goal), Nigel Spink was their replacement keeper coming on for their first choice goalie after he was injured in the match. They also had Bremner and Mortimer. That was pretty much my first European Cup Final that I watched with intent. Previous matches that I had watched was mainly part of coaching. And that was more than 40years ago.... 😎

It really looked like there would only be one winner last night. Good show from the Gunners

I'm surprised looking at Villa.... but then again, playing in EPL and competing in Europe is not for sissy's. At least ManU and Spurs can put everything into the Europa League, with relegation from the EPL looking highly unlikely.

I've just listened to Jim, Simon & Martin on Talksport.... Would Spurs' 2024-25 season, finishing with all the records, be considered a failure, IF they went on and won the Europa League? Of course, as a longstanding Spurs supporter, I cannot see that eventuality, lol.... but, stranger things have happened in football.... (and that's the hope I hang on to...) What a tepid performance against Fulham on Sanday!!!! And if I'm honest, Fulham are not too shabby this season, but still....!!! FFS! Our fans couldn't wait to get rid of Sessignon.... so what happens: Fulham take him back on a free, and then he promptly scores against us in his very first game against us!!!! Now THAT'S SPURSY! 🤮

Let's congratulate them on having an idea. Seems the new senior leadership have already admitted to having made a couple of mistakes during their short stint, so I think they deserve some credit. I saw the game as fairly even, with Allison having to pull off more good saves. And credit to Liverpool, this was only their 2nd loss at Anfield after Forest, all season. PSG we're not convincing in victory, by any means. Donnarumma was called upon a few occasions. I agree that Salah's antics were desperate, and should have resulted in a yellow.

I see Millwall had the audacity to appeal the 3 match ban on Roberts, for the brutal attack on Mateta. The FA have responded to the appeal, by increasing the ban to 6 months! Good on the powers that be.... 👏🏽
