Let’s see if two London clubs will compete for the Super Cup lol...
  2. Just got this message from a Buddy earlier today... “About an hour or so ago they did a flypast while I was in Griffith road next to Emperor's. They were even lower (200ft limit? Maybe) than they were the other day. Then they did a split climb with a roll as they cleared the runway. I was waiting for the wings to fall off. Spectacular.”
  3. I thought it would have something to do with the inauguration, thanks. It’s such a pity that we are all led to believe that the very airline is pleading poverty... Aaahh well, maybe that’s the price for a few billion R’s in some bailouts, and protection fees... :sigh:
  4. Anybody know what this was about, around JNB this afternoon?

Some business those Cheatski folk get up to... And that’s the fee for managers who they no longer wanted!! And then they go tapping up youngsters, illegally!!! Duh, brain freeze.... Anyway, I for one have no sympathy for their impending ban

Yeah, I’ve seen that earlier today... And yesterday was confirmed that he won a BP9million settlement that Chelsea tried to withhold from him

I remember that FA Cup Final and Replay. Norman Whiteside made his name. Funny thing is, I always wanted to watch Gary Bailey’s team play; Robson, McQueen, Wilkins, Stapleton... They were an exciting team :team: And BHA had Jimmy Case, who might have been top goal scorer or contender. They were also quite a formidable team back then.

Hey, speak for yourself... I’m a Spurs supporter of four decades who is always hopeful of glory, lol... My two words are Glen Hoddle.

Spurs don’t have fans! We are supporters. There’s no other word to explain the emotional roller coaster that comes with being a Spurs supporter lol... COYS

I for one agree that the shield should be counted. Can it really be fair to overlook it, since other leagues don’t have a similar competition? If that indeed is the reason

Wow! Awesome video... Great to see the camaraderie in the team and management. I’m still not convinced that Poch is the guy to replace him.... But let’s see, maybe I’m just being selfish. But Poch doesn’t have a proven success story yet. He has not worked with established world-class players and made them play his style... That’s why he is not yet the man for this type of role

I absolutely agree. As well as the announcement of the new coach after the end of season games... I’m not so sure that Agnelli will be pursuing a non-Italian coach in these circumstances... It’s interesting...

I don’t suppose that Allegri leaving Juventus at the end of the season means too much disruption... Although I wonder a certain Mr Conte has anything to do with this news

True. And in Juve’s case they had just gone through their own penalty not too long ago so why they be so silly so breach the rules... In the case of Chelsea and Man City, they have been pushing the boundaries for a while now, even with Barca ma Real having been suspended previously. So I have no sympathy for them.

Well put @Gen.... But let’s not forget that only one of the Auto companies that you listed, is profitable. So, all things being equal, it’s not about how the funds are being provided because then your argument will also apply to City and Chelsea... And clearly FIFA are not buying their stories for now. I still think there’s more to the CR7 buyout that we have been led to believe... But hey, it’s FIFA’s job to judge these things and I am merely observing... Because I can’t be jealous, I’m a Spurs supporter, lol...

This presents a very strong case for money laundering. And that’s exactly why FIFA was obliged to make flouting the FFP rules punishable

I hear this case.... But isn’t that just the reason we have such a thing as Fair Play rules in place in the first place? If there are clubs who are made an example of, then surely the others would have been listening/watching.... In the case of PSG, they did sell quite a few players last season which actually amounted closes to 50% of Mbappe’s fee. And then there is the yet unsubstantiated premise that they were assisted in meeting Neymar’s fee by their kit supplier... as do Juve for CR7 (apparently). Bottom line is, if found guilty then deal with it

    Football

Hahahahahaaaa... Let’s hope there’s a reason they call it “Fair Play”
  22. RoddieJ

    Football

I don’t understand how it could be a blow...The FIFA Fair Play Rules are clear and apply to all clubs in Europe. If the rules have been found to have been flouted then the consequences need to be meted out. Simple! Just like the way Chelsea have been penalized, City are trying to find ways to get out of paying the price soonest. It seems that City are trying to buy time, which is the reason that the earliest effective punishment could be 2020-21. There’s no reason to sympathize, as these penalties have already applied to other clubs as well

So... how about sharing your own level of success on this very platform...? I’m sure you wouldn’t mind sharing something like your success to substantiate your right to contributing to this discussion...

Well said if you are speaking for yourself... De Rossi has so has been the epitome of AS Roma. Even the Italy 1st team have revolve around the influence of De Rossi... What a gentleman of the game, and I think De Rossi deserves the celebration of his contribution to the beautiful game. Unfortunately, footie fans who are limited to EPL or even the odd La Liga game are so short of the broader influences in the game of football. It’s a shame really... Anyway, thank you Daniel De Rossi for your wonderful contribution and gentlemanly conduct to the game of football. Best wishes for your future.

Thanks @Gen... The reason it’s taking so long for agreement is that clubs are already playing 50-60 games in a season, so something is going to have to be compromised. Whether it’s less local cup competitions or less Euro Competitions, the bottom line is that it will have to replace some games for it to be feasible. Think of the impact during a World Cup year. Anyway, that’s for the powers that be to decide... luckily
