  1. Just wondering which tyre would be best for riding wet and sticky mud. Currently riding on maxxis crossmark lust, but find that the sticky stuff cling to it like ... well, sh!t to a shoe. Any suggestions?
  2. I think you should add "only sometimes" to your poll. I bet that would have the most votes.
  3. Here's another one. Renault pronounced :- Renoo. Because Rian Cruywagen says so! And you know he is right because no one messes with the Cruywagen! "Nou ja, dan groet ons tot more om 7uur. Haasdas Kanieskas is volgende"
  4. He must not leave...... He must go!
  5. Im willing to experiment with these tyres. I'll try the blue stuff or the stans. But was there not issues wih amonia in some sealants damaging tyres?
  6. I see your point Dibles. So can i buy this blue stuff off the shelf?
  7. Thanks for replies guys. Mutt can u tell me what thin sealant u used? I got the green stuff with black beads in? Will those work?
  8. I recently accuired a pair of Schwalbe Rocket Rons Evo 2.2 tyres. They were about 95% new. I think non-UST. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I rode with them for a few weeks with tubes but decided to cenvert them to tubeless(ghetto style!!!). After following some other threads on the hub, with do's and dont's, I thought i'd give it a shot.</DIV> DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please help!!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
  9. Always wondered about this issue. getting a flat on the ghetto tubeless can be a nightmare, therefor always carry a spare tube!

  11. Ive also tried the same with rocket rons on speedisc rims with no luck. I successfully seated Larsen TT's before, but the schwalbes wont budge. Asked the LBS but wont help, as i'm "taking away business" and i should rather slip him a grand and he'll do it for me. Funkman2010-02-17 09:06:20
  12. Just looking at the poll, says alot!!
  13. i think the g1 gps goes for around R2k ontop of the R3500 for the hrm
  14. ... so nobody knows
  15. Hi Everyone I am considering buying a new watch. With that in mind thought why not score, by getting a heart rate monitor which can double as a watch. After some looking around my eyes fell on the Polar FT80. As most of the other HRM's reminded me of the Casio calculator watches of the 80's. I need to balance form and function and and need something that does not look out of place with a Hugo Boss suit. So my questions are:- 1. As a cycling tool, how appropraite is the FT80 if i buy it with the G1 gps accesory? 2. Does anyone have any experience with it? 3. Is there any other options i can look at? talkin bout this guy Thanx Funkman2009-10-14 07:30:05
  16. ... and it cost me 150 for both wheels. So its worth a try!
  17. I had all the same questions regarding tubeless wheels as you noche. I did some research and thought i'd try the ghetto version 1st. Searched some video clips on youtube as a guide and tried it out. I got it right on the second go, with a foot pump. The rule of thumb here is - lotsa soapy water. I was using non tubeless rims and non tubeless tyres and sealed it with tubeless sealant (cant remember the name). Works shweet!
  18. all i want is it to make KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!. Equals the sound a Harley makes!
  19. my thoughts exactly!
  20. Thanks for the info Droo. Well I thought it would be an easy job, but apparenly not! (rude awakening!!!) ... and my money's not that long to buy new wheels right now! Well than I just have to ride my bike till the wheels come off, ... literally!! I guess that will be a better reason to upgrade!
  21. I'm a newbie to MTB cycling and done a few races. Im always checking out other bikes to see whats the latest.(Not good for my wallet) One thing that really caught my attention is the loud sound of some hubs when free wheeling. (meaning that I like it). After some asking around i found out that they are Hope and Chris King's etc. My question(s) is: Will I be able to fit them (Hope 2) on my current wheels and at what cost? I currently have 26" WTB Speed discs XC's with XT hubs. Or what other options do I have? PS. I know a bit about bikes but not very technical! So please talk s-l-o-w-l-y! Thanks guys!
  22. Awesome pics! I feel like using them for my screensaver!!!!
