    I live for my Bicycle ( can not get enough of Her) Been married to Her for  2 1/2 years.

    I have not touched another women/ bike or even looked and still happily married.

    No couch.Cry

    Just how and where do one pick up these "skills"? I know all the basic theory of drafting and no X-wheeling etc etc.

    but when do you practice these sort of riding (especially if you are a MTBer at heart and do not belong to a road club?)

     

    Then, unfortunately, the races become the practice grounds...

     

    Only solution - try and get into the earleir groups...= more experienced riders?

     

    This is my one gripe - that i'm going to wipe out because of somebody else's stupidity....in the mountains it's mostly your own doing that get you unstuck!!

    Why don't you come train at Killarney on Tuesday and Wednesday nights?

     

    Tuesday is relaxed, run by a couch Gerhard Genis for PPA, R15.00

    Wednesday is in three group, slow medium fast. Run by two Ladies from Western Prov Cycling, R20.00.

  3. I only did 40km on Sat.

     

    Then did the Medallion 106km plus 80km TO and BACK home.

     

    Did my regular trip to Town on Monday morning, a good relaxing ride.LOL 

     

    30 km average for the 20km into Town, 40 mins.

     

    Then took a slow ride back home, 26km ave, 50 mins.Wink

    Do not hurt yourself.

    Do not have accident.

    Get the bike serviced 2 weeks before the race,

    As bike shops will be CHAOS.

     

    On the morning do not forget anything.
