  2. Hi I have a 2007 (I think) Izimu frame. Wheel got stolen... what axle do I have? Here is a link to Images: http://imgur.com/a/PLwz7#2 (I remember the old hub "sat" on the frame without the axle, unlike a 15mm through axle wheel, which just falls through without the axle) Basically the frame looks like a standard QR frame, but its slightly larger. These are the options - 10 mm bolt up 10 mm bolt up saint 12 mm QR
  3. During a fall the lever was forced backwards and the piston popped out. I dont want to force it back in and do more damage. How do i fix this?
  4. glad youre safe! my brake pads once fell off halfway through a downhill run. also pretty scary. Although there you have pads, a full face helmet and plenty of bushes to dive into
  5. Cycel art... yes i know of them, but im in Cape town, and I dont really want to post my frame up to Jo burg, expecially since the maximum insurance you can put on a package is R1000
  6. ok its a 2007 Aluminium Morewood Izimu frame Ive been told not to touch it with a sand blaster - even if not using sand but medium (glass beads), how does one get the paint off then? or do i just sand it? and then what paint does one use? Auto paint? high quality enamel? What primer? what is a reactive primer? Ive never done this before so please help shot
  7. Pimpin aint easy, but someone's gotta do it!
  8. Maxxis Highroller or Kenda Nevergal? Ill be doing the DH race in Paarl this coming weekend and I have 2 High Rollers and one Nevergal, all 3 in 2.5 inch, although the Nevergal is still significantly larger than the Highrollers. What do you guys think is the best setup? Nevergal front or back or simply 2 Highrollers? terrain is mostly sand, very little gravel compared to Tokai for instance...

  12. sorry about the *** pictures...
  13. hey all recently baught some stuffs from crc/secondhand which i was sure would fit - but evidently not 1 - Why are my crankbolts not fastening the chainring properly? (do i need spacers or do i need smaller bolts?) 2 - Does the BB to ICG mount come with the indentation towards or away from the frame? and does the Chainguide fit on the inside or outside of the adaptor? 3 - Where does the bashgaurd go?? is there some other adaptor im missing?? Here are some pics
  14. phoned both of them... super cheap super helpful! id recommend either company to anyone!
  15. rushsports only have bearing for specific bb's and hubs
  16. Cape Town
  17. hello Im busy overhauling my '07 Morewood Izimu and i want to replace the pivot bearings. They seem to be pretty standard ball bearings. If i buy them from Morewood direct then they will be rediculously overpriced... where else can i buy bearings from? 34mm external diameter 21.5mm internal diameter 9.5 thickness
  18. Does anybody know of someone selling a chainguide/bashring for a 36t 5bolt? It will fit on an older Izimu frame so I will need a BB adapter as well (but that one can get from crc cheap cheap) are there no more races this year? what about urban assault? shot...
  19. Ahoy. Here is a pic of the bottom of my chainguard. Frame: Morewood Izimu (07?) It seems to be fitted directly to the BB. If i want to order another one from CRC how do I know what size fitting to take? shot And how does the ratio of a 36t in front and an 11 to 18 at the back? (9 spd)
  20. Last time I did the provincial (WC) race in Sir Lowries Pass, the organizer moaned that there are not enough downhillers in SA and its really hard to get races and events going. Now, I only happen to hear about that race quite by accident, and since then I know of 2 races that I only found out about afterwards. Maybe its just me... I'm not really friends with many people in the scene but surely there could be a bit more publicity. Is there not a mailing list or a forum one can join/ create or something? please help!
  21. Thanks everyone!
  22. Hello Ive recently taken off my no name merida (left) from my bike and i want to mount a Rock Shox Dart 2 (right). Although the Dart 2 does not have the same thread that the no name has. See picture below. How does one install a fork with no thread in the post? brightred2010-05-02 05:44:44
  23. no its a real one made of metal HAHAHA
  24. Hi all I was running a standard MTB 9 speed shimano LX setup. Although about 3 years old and worn it worked fine mostly. I then proceede to replace only the chain and now it slips like crazy the minute i put any form of pressure on. Is this because the cassette is worn but the chain is fine? (the gears were set properly btw) thanks
