We are limiting the ride to 10 Riders, First come first serve. Entrance to the Lodge will be Free. 079 628 1877 What to expect Quad / 4x4 mixed track, fast gravel track, technical single track, rocky descents, spectacular river-side view with river crossings Directions. Travel towards Heidelberg, get onto the N3 South towards Durban, Turn Left R54 Villiers / Vereeniging exit, Follow sand road for about 10 km and then turn right. (Keep lookout for signage “Lekoa Lodge") Follow again for about 3.5 km and then turn left. Continue again for about 4.6 km and Lekoa Lodge will be on the left. The mountainbike discipline according to the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale or World Cycling Body) is divided into 3 groups: Cross Country: XC Downhill: DH Four Cross: 4X Downhill and Four Cross are also referred to as "gravity" events. Cross country consists of 8 race formats: Cross country olympic : XCO (also the Olympic format - the high school mountainbike series lap-racing falls into this category) Cross country marathon : XCM (generally a single lap event over a longer distance compared to XCO) Cross country point-to-point : XCP (the only difference between XCM and XCP is that XCM starts and ends in the same place where XCP has a different finish point to start point) Cross country short circuit : XCC (a very short lap race format) Cross country eliminator : XCE (new format) Cross country time trail : XCT (mountainbiking against the clock as opposed to riding against other riders) Cross country team relay : XCR (24-hours mountainbike team events fall under this category) Cross country stage race : XCS (the ABSA Cape-Epic event in the Western Cape, South Africa, is a well known mountainbike stage race) Downhill consits of 2 formats: Individual downhill : DHI Massed-start downhill : DHM - also known as "avalance downhill" Four cross consists of 4 riders racing down a track and the first rider to cross the finish line wins.
