On my way back home after work, I could not engage the big chain ring on the front (2x system), rode all the way for 20km, felt like a spinning class session, only upon further investigating 🤨 major damage and I was not even on a trail section, just tar road..so where can I source one that is not broken, bike is at Specialized for assessment

  7. I rode the blue line a couple of times and are looking at new alternatives to reach Harties, the road is from Laudium / Erasmia to Hennops at the R511..I plotted a red dotted track does anyone know if it is do-able or know of an alternative to the blue line.

  9. check for the amount of free play indicated on that close pin,,,dont know how old the derailer is,,I had similar issue and this was the same case, with a little bent here and there it is alligned...to check it remember to push the derailer out as if it would be under normal tension with the chain in place

  12. thanks for the tips guys,,I took a closer inspection on the rim tape,,,tape got pierced over 2 spoke holes probably when I removed the new tyre in my struggle to sort the leaking valve,,, I am busy to remove the old tape and apply new tape and will see if it would seal then.
  13. I am going to try it once more with the tubeless valve but without the bullet piece of rubber, ...if it does not work then the cut out from an old tube... then I will try it next week again, using rider#35 actions and lets hope it does work by then
