  1. Been through thick and thin with my Maxxis. Zero failures Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Where are you based? I have a 19" or 19.5" (will make 100% sure) axis bike that is too big for my son. I would consider stripping and swopping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I wouldn't hold my breath. Been the longest 2 weeks I've ever heard of, from at least 3 weeks ago! From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Apart from a good number of missing workouts and gym visits from this week still, today's workout points seem somewhat flawed. I'll pick up the fight from Monday again. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Check your Discovery App under Vitality > Devices and Apps to see if it has been syncing to Discovery, check the last time it synced. Sample below: If it has not been syncing recently you can try Delink, then re-link your Garmin account. If it is up to date then you are one of the lucky few that has to take screenshots of all your activities and email them to: VITALITYESCALATIONS@discovery.co.za From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. More detail? What device or app? Has it stopped syncing to Discovery, or does it show it has synced and you are not getting any points allocated? From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If it's as simple as that I don't understand why Discovery apologizes for the syncing issues they've been having? From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Has he set up a Polar account and linked it to Discovery? Although point allocation in general seems to be delayed again. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I would suggest you create a separate polar personal trainer account for your watch, which is not linked to Discovery, and keep your current profile as is for Polar Beat. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yes the Polar Beat app works. It allows no manual data input so it's fine. As far as I'm aware it can pair with any smart Bluetooth monitor. I'm 100% sure on the two I mentioned. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes. I use the Wahoo unit because it is ant+ and Bluetooth so I simultaneously run my Garmin Fenix for the entire duration of my training and the Polar Beat app which I start once my heart rate is high and stop just after 30 minutes of this high intensity. This assures me of my 300 points as my Polar Beat is linked to Discovery, and I then also have an overall record of my full training session on Garmin Connect which is not linked to Discovery. This works well for me, albeit being somewhat tedious, but that's my workaround to Discovery not recognizing a long workout as being vigorous despite a high intensity 30+ minute section and a nice moderate cool off. They only look at average heart rate over the captured data. Their (IMO) erroneous system does not tie in well to properly devised programs where recovery and aerobic base training is just as important as anaerobic threshold training. 12. Yes. You can use Polar Beat. Pair it to a Polar H7 or Wahoo Tickr heart rate monitor, create a Polar Flow account, link it to Discovery and you're good to go. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Way I understand it is any imported file to Garmin Connect is tagged as coming from an unknown device. So I cannot see Discovery accepting that session. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Also suddenly achieved my goal, 2 days early with my missing points now appearing. [emoji23] From my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Has anyone been allocated points since upgrading to the new Polar Beat app? Sadly there was no mention of no further compatibility with polar personal trainer that I remember, now after seeing no training points for two days I logged onto ppt and see there is a message there warning users not to upgrade if one wishes to continue syncing to ppt. Does look like there's no more link from new app to Vitality. From my iPhone using Tapatalk
