Me too when I'm alone. Often get hooted at by the cars though.

We all know the anxiety created by hearing a vehicle nearing you from behind at high speed. We all know of cyclists who have died as a result. Why do cyclists (especially when riding alone) not train like runners, facing the oncoming traffic? Is there a specific law against it? At least then you can see what's coming your way and attempt to avoid it...

People tend to think that the next guy passing by will stop and help you. Thereby they can justify their lack of compassion.Sad...

Is it comfortable for a woman to wear a heart rate monitor when she's wearing a sports bra? Want to get one for my girl, but this issue is puzzling. Some say it chafes them if they wear it underneath the bra strap. Please help.

That 1st one's a real cruncher. Just look at the front suspension fully compressed. Must've been quite an impact!

I notice with my heart rate monitor that my heart rate goed to about 175 during climbing and otherwise at around 155-162 during moderately hard cycling. Is this too high or does it compare to what other cyclists are finding as well? I'm just concerned that I may be overdoing it...

I received even more brilliant news recently. I won the Italian lottery!!!. The best is that i've never even been to Italy, nor did I know that they had a lottery. All I did to claim my 18 million Euro winnings was to send a bank deposit of R1000 (for courier costs) to the Italian agents in Nigeria. Amazing isn't it. Lady Luck is finally smiling on us.

Have to agree with Rookie. The LBS have to make a living. The distributors are the problem which need correcting.

I've just completed the Baviaans and need to buy a new bike. Now I'm not sure whether to stick with a hardtail or change to a full suspension. I mostly use it for cross country riding. Speaking to the shops, I get conflicting advice. How does one decide which is best? Please help !
