  1. Ill need to check, I got my kickr used with no box, but I have the paperwork for it so I’ll ask my friend Claude to give me his opinion. Always wanted the ease of use with the zwift cog funny enough so this might make sense for me. Thanks for the great idea!
  2. Spot on! My road bike is SRAM AXS 12 speed hence, Shimano or anything generic will not work on my trainer. I also need the Wahoo XDR freehub body for my KICKR. So double whammy it seems.
  3. I’m changing from shimano group set to sram group set soon and with that I need to update my Kickr core hub to a Wahoo KICKR Core XDR freehub body and 12 speed cassette. if anyone out there is looking to swap out their SRAM to Shimano cassette and hub for their Kickr core please reach out to me. Based in Sunningdale 👌🏼
  4. NC I considered running the exact same upgrades to the bike, currently running a mix of RX610 / RX820 - I also looked at that exact Ultegra 11 speed crankset as an option. My ride buddies leave me 'in the dirt' so to speak - they're both on road bikes and both always in the lead which makes me sound slow (lol) but after the training I've done on the indoor Is hould by now be keeping up with them...so much to consider here and it all plays down to finances at the end of the day as the road bike I'm looking at is decently specc'd with super low mileage and use at 45k..
  5. Ha ha! Love the solution! I don't know a single person nearby with a gravel bike 🤣
  6. Thanks NC, I’m currently on an Orbea M30 Terra with grx 2x11 groupset and the road bike has SRAM rival axs 2x12 currently. I’m after more top end speed, especially for on the trainer. I also only have roadie buddies that I ride with, and haven’t actually take the gravel bike into gravel. I'm also coming from a dual sus Santa Cruz that I rode for years, onto the gravels bike, so the jump to road from gravel is one I’m trying to find all the pros and cons for really.
  7. I’m seriously considering moving from my grave bike that I’m mostly ridden on the road since purchase )with little gravel to get to in a fair sum of time by bike or car atleast) and moving over to a full road bike. I’ve done the dud diligence online and all well and fair. But thought to reach out to our local community (a’la Bloubergers) to see if I’ll kick myself? Note; I’ve been running Maxxis high road 28mm’s since purchase as well. So I’ll likely stick with those on the next bike. I’ll also use the bike on my kickr core 👌🏼 Thanks all
  8. Doing my first CTCT this year. I’m driving from Blouberg with my bike early Sunday morning, where’s best to park for launch or start? My wife and kids will come through after start time to support, where is it best for them to park and spectate from. TIA
  9. Lekker thanks @Gert van Wyk7 I’m gona look into them right away. What type of riding do you mainly do in them?
  10. Those look great and I found a few local suppliers - price however is a little steeper than I anticipated . EDIT: 'I'm after a bib with a very thick chamois that's been tried and tested for long rides - on a budget' 😜
  11. Thanks @michaelbiker - my intention is to be comfy on longer rides in prep for a few races coming up in the +100k line. I also recently replaced my bontrager saddle with the selle san marco shortfit narrow saddle. I also have the Prologo Dimension NDR. Maybe I'll run a bike fit on each to get some professional advice, I thought a thicker chamois would be a good starting point.
  12. I currently ride my gravel bike in Ciovita Altura Bib Shorts which I love. At 1.78m tall, +- 70kgs and a relatively 'slim' hindquarters, I'm after a bib with a very thick chamois that's been tried and tested for long rides. Feedback welcome!
  13. Hi fellow community, I'm on the verge of selling my Tallboy CC to purchase a Gravel bike as I have been doing more road riding than trail/enduro riding. I've never ridden a road bike which geometrically looks like gravel bike so I'm looking for a fellow gravel biker in the area to meet up with, so that I can give it a quick spin. Preferably something with flat pedals 😎 in the Blouberg area. Massive thanks!
  14. Thanks for the info, sounds like it's more effort than reward 🤙
  15. Thanks Steady Spin, I was worried something like this could come up, it all seemed too darn good to be true! I have a really decent stem atm (lyne 35mm) but hoped to try eliminate all the extra costs involved here (threadless carrier or top cap). I have however found a decent alternative here by granite-design, so might go with them https://www.granite-design.co.za/product-page/stash-multi-tool
