  5. @ Max Headroom - Firstly, thank you for the interest in the Namaqua Daisy. Im not sure that you are familiar with the Vredendal region and its surroundings. End of August the area is already nicely warmed up in the morning and it is not uncommon to reach 30 degrees by noon at the start of spring. Vredendal is 300 km drive from Cape Town and with the current roadworks on the N7 this 3 hour drive could well result in a 4 hour drive or longer. So no matter if we start the race even at 10:00am,its almost impossible to drive through in the morning. They idea is to visit the area for a weekend in a time that it is at its most beautiful, with the Namakwaland flowers in bloom. Regarding the clash with the Hopefield race: Well, with the amount of growth that MTB events have seen over the past few years this come as no surprise. The amount of events avaible by far exceeds the amount of days available in a year so this kind of thing is bound to happen and is quite common. Luckily there are far more riders out there than events, and we as riders are therefore spoilt for choice. So,whichever event you choice to do,enjoy it and have fun! I hope this answers your concerns.

  8. I participated at in the vineyard races this weekend at Lourensford. I did see some spectacular crashes.(even crashed myself). However not all of this was the riders fault but alot due to overcrowding in the singletracks, and then the worse - ignorant, selfish riders that dont care to look whats going on around them. Pulling in in front of faster riders,Braking dead on going downhill, walking dead in the middle in the singletrack around blind corners etc. Let me know what you saw,or even better did u get some footage - share your link please.

  10. I'm in the market for a new 29'er. I'm 1.76m tall and currently own a large 26'er. Should I go for a medium frame 29'er? Or should I go for a small size with a longer stem and seat shifted more back? Input will be much appreciated.
  11. where can i get the blank frames?
  12. Was that at about the 5km mark?
  13. My friend wants to start MTB,but is unsure of which bike to buy. He's looking at the top three bikes.I'm buying a Scott scale 60 at the moment which is why I include it because its in the sime price range.
