  1. Hi Wynand, I also have the Scott Spark 970 2019 bike and have had the same issues. Broken spokes on my rear wheel on 3 or 4 occasions. The dealer I purchased my bike from has been very supportive and has replaced the spokes each time. They also rebuilt the rim but unfortunately same outcome - broken spokes. The rear rim has been replaced temporary, and have had no issues since.
  2. After viewing this post we decided to ride Boschendal Black route on Friday 16 June. So much fun. Friendly staff and friendly fellow MTB cyclists. The singletrack is just awesome. All 3.7km of Inferno ST is a rush. Thank you Boschendal for fantastic trails and Bike Hub for the great article.
  3. You were not alone. I just managed to call back a rider we noted making the same mistake. Possibly candy tape between the back-to-back water stations could have prevented this. An awesome event with great water points!
  4. http://advendurance.com/nationalmtbseries/event/2017natmtb1/ Marathon is 72km with 1,398m gain and half-marathon 42k with 757m gain. As published on the event website. Did the Porcupine long in 2016. At Water Point 2, which is at the base of the final ascent with a serious gradient, there was no water. Temperature was close to 40 degrees. I realise the heat created some real thirsty riders and the location of the Water Point prevented a quick fix. In the end it was an eventful, thirsty-full first long ride for me. Then I can also add that I have participated in 4 Nissan Trailseeker events and have enjoyed each of them immensely. Each events water points have always been a pleasure. The Trailseeker is organised by Advendurance who are the organisers of the Ashburton series. Looking forward to the half-marathon event on Saturday!
  5. Did the 46k ride last year. Was a great ride and we'll organised event. That was also my last race on my Trek 26inch V-Brake
  6. Looking forward to an event on my home trails!
  7. Entered the 36km MTB. Will be my first Daisy. Any comments from past participants?
  8. Entered Bone Crusher. My first Darling Brew and longest MTB event. Previous long event was Philadelphia 65k. Looking forward to the ice cold Bone Crusher brew after the ride!
  9. My first Darling Brew and also longest MTB event. Previous longest Philadelphia MTB 65k.
