The difference in seat height from front of saddle to rear of saddle is about 5 cm. if you move your seat position to 1 cm to the rear with a cm shorter stem it should solve your problem for the least amount of money.

Tyres are the cheapest place to save weight. So start there while looking for a decent secondhand set of carbon wheels.

I think the problem is larger than just one group. Maybe a Facebook riding groups needs to be setup. Where people in jhb/rand burg can post there riding groups times and places etc. It surely will be safer in large groups.
