  1. I stay in Johannesburg, but travel to Pretoria too. Also flying to Cape Town and Natal if clients want me there if there are 4-5 bikes.
  2. Hey guys. Heres what my work looks like. My riders that I serviced at the sani2c this year, started every day with a bike looking like these. (no high pressure hose used) Mobile Bicycle Technix Juan Smook 082 758 0011 mobilebicycletechnix@yahoo.com
  3. Thats the bad thing... its not the ephedrine, he knows what that is, and he sommer said to me straight he cant use ephedrine because it dehidrates to to fast... Adrenalin...think that'll cause a bit more damage than dehidration!
  4. Thats what I understood as well. But how does that even cross the mind of someone that is 17years old?! That scared the living @$@#&$ out of me today. Whats happening in the world of cycling?! Its not who is the strongest rider anymore... Its who's dad has got the most cash to slap the doctor with so his kid can perform! Scary world out there!
  5. Hi Guys. I was servicing a bike today of one of the top Junior road riders. We were chatting about racing a few years back when I was junior and we got on the topic of doping... He asked me about something called EPINEPHERIN?! I dont know what it is, but I told him he must rather stay away from anything to keep his cycling career going. I've heard alot of names before but never that. And if I google it, it doesnt look like something you can play with. What is it, and what does it do?! And should I talk to his parents about questions he asked? These Junior riders are pushing it really hard. How does one handle this? Thanks. Juan Smook Mobile Bicycle Technix
  6. I'm so glad to see that Bruce Reyneke Cycles isn't on that list! GO BRUCE! There's not a lot of shops that can mach Bruce Reyneke Lynwood! Champion owner, employees and main supplier... Dragon Sports (Giant) also not on the list!

  8. +3....Coz polar got delivered on wednesday morning before 10 am How do you lock it?
  9. Awesome, thanks. It doesnt matter how big or how small the job is, I'll sort it out for you and won't charge a ridiculous price. I just really like what I'm doing!
  10. Hi guys... This is a responce to the thread posted my "The Mac" - Beware of bike mechanix..... First of all, I would like to thank everyone that backed me up on this forum, and those of you that get P.M's from me, you guys get a free wash&lube anytime anywhere. Now.... I didn't steal anything from anyone here, I was asked in an email that I must sort out the polar watch battery...( Istill have that email) I DONT FIX POLARS! So I took it in to Polar (twice) as a favour. And by the way, I never charged "TheMac" a cent of any labour done ever on his bikes.... I've got all his invoices dated and if I add it up the sum total comes to R3450...(invoices and dates on my system) I feel really bad, because I still have the watch, but he'll get it back tomorrow before 10am. I dont have any excuses, but I didn't steal it when I was asked to do what I did??? The helmet that was mentioned was in stock that got liquidated at Illovo Cycles (everyone except the employees knew about the liquidation) We had jobs the Thursday, the Friday when I got to the shop I was told "sorry we closing" Hope that shines a bit of light on my business name, and I'm sorry if I took long with the watch, I'm one guy. Thanks again for all my clients that stand behind me, you guys are awesome. THE MAC...I'm very sorry I took long with your watch Juan Smook Mobile Bicycle Technix 082 758 0011
  11. I'm finished "blogging" for tonight. I'm gonna get my tools ready, clean my work stand and pack my car for tomorrows clients. Then I'm gonna play some on-line PS3. Once again, thanks for everyone's positive posts! Really appreciate it. Juan Smook
  12. Haha! classic!
  13. Thanks. Really trying hard to keep everyone happy, but sometimes I do slip up. Can say with pride, havent slipped up (not that I know of) on any bike I did
  14. If anyone wants to see any of my paperwork, feel free to mail me at mobilebicycletechnix@yahoo.com
  15. He is a great guy, but I've been warned before, if you slip up once then it'll never been forgotten, and I admit, I slipped up, but didn't steal anything... Hey but live goes on, so now I'm even more determent to give the best service in PTA/JHB... (bike service, not Polar...)
  16. Thanks. I wont say he owes me money, because when I started my business we had a verbal agreement that that is how its gonna work, so I always sent his invoices with my labour as N/C. Look, I've got the watch, but I dont like it when people says I'm stealing from them. I'm in the wrong too, but will do what I have to tomorrow morning to make him happy. Thanks though for listening to my side too.
  17. Thanks! I'm just a dude loving what I'm doing, I'm not in it for the money, the best reward is my clients bikes looking better than showroom condition when I give it back. I'm not gonna take todays post as negative, coz any form of advertising is good advertising Happy riding in the Western Cape!
  18. Oh, and sorry I only reply now to the posts, I was at a funiral of a fellow cyclist Adam Reyneke.

  20. If I can give you my opinion, get the Pedros Briefcase Toolbox, its got EVERYTHING you need in it, and the SHIMANO wooden chain-braker, its my favourite tool in my whole toolbox! If you ever in need of a workshop stand... if you travel with it I'd say Feedback Sports - Ultimate workshop stand! And if you want a wall mounted one, I've got 2 Park Tool top end wall mount clamps that I want to get rid of (we renting so I cant mount them) And get a cool apron!!!! Snap on tools has got a schweet one that I'm using! Have fun!
