5 minutes longer than last year. hills were steeper and was too moeg after the jan smuts/homestead hills to make up time on the highway. Well organized at always. Found this route harder than the old one. Kudos to all involved and huge respect to those who improved on last years time

Did a 947 route recon today with Design in Motion (Kudos to them for a great ride) Couple things I found: 1. First 20 km's a lot easier than advertised 2. Homestead and Jan Smuts make up for that 3. The end isn't as easy as advertised. Starting from Woodmead there are about 5 steep climbs and they won't look pretty with 70 kms in the legs. Still excited for an epic ride

This inaugural season of the MSL might just be a let down due to all the players being away but future editions may prove to be quite something.

Howzit guys, asking for a friend. How do late entries get seeded? Does a re-seed come included in the late entry fee?

We're still about 5k entries less than last year with only 3 days to go. So much for the grand reversed route marketing scheme. Still should be an awesome ride and the downwards m1 is going to be great.

There are many charities that give away free entries. I am organizing a team for the DL Link (cancer support group, they do incredible work.). We are being sponsored by Liberty so the next 40 riders to enter will get free entry.All you have to do is raise R1800 and you get entry kit and a worthy cause to ride for.
