  1. Or be lazy and just stick to the barre chords hahahaha
  2. Guitar pro is very helpful, but I find lately for ease of use and for general chord and lyrics type learning, Ultimate Guitar is easy to use and generally quite accurate. Sometimes the tabs look like they have been written by 12 year olds, but with some common sense and musical knowledge they aren't difficult to play correctly
  3. Will give these a look, thanks man
  4. My only problem with the app is that it wants you to pay for functionality that is available on the website for free, as in transposing of chords and autoscroll. I get it's the convenience of using your phone, but I just think it's a bit annoying.
  5. This is my pride and joy, bought with my first vacation work paycheck 10 years ago! A little home made pedalboard I also made about 8 years ago. Young me was apparently very handy. Still have some additions planned for this, like getting rid of the random compression pedal and replacing it with a Boss one.
  6. Thanks for this, have just found my wife's birthday present to me!!
  7. My parents and their siblings have no musical ability, but for some reason all the cousins on my Dad's side have very good musical ability, my one cousin even plays for a semi-professional band at the moment. Not sure where the genes come from though.
  8. Will have a look, haven't heard of it before.
  9. I think we all suffer from this problem. But goodness that Cort is sexy
  10. That's a damn good looking guitar. Reviews are important, but a lot of it is personal taste and feel. And guitars tend to get better with age. Good luck with your learning, hope it turns out awesome! Remember to have fun.
  11. So, unless my search skills are failing me, it appears their is no thread for the musicians on the Hub. Presuming their are a few of us that are musically inclined, I thought it would be a good idea to share our setups, purchases and experiences and so on. This is after all just as expensive a hobby as the one that brings us here, we might as well be proud of it. Will post my babies(Guitars) when I get home, have nothing on my new phone.
  12. I remember being at a hockey tournament in Wineberg when he was there, had them fly over the field a few times during the week.
  13. New or Newly Leased?
  14. Still dark and wet outside?
  15. There we go, just what we have been waiting for!
  16. Agreed, it makes me want to turn around and go back. Give me the Dubai passport control anytime, at least they pretend you don't exist in a polite manner
  17. Here I thought it was the custom staff that made it so challenging
  18. There is one in Bloemfontein, Westline Aviation that I am looking at. There is also talks of one here in Welkom, but not sure, can't seem to find any info on it past 2014. You guys are spoilt for choice up the in Gauteng, lots of places, but prices are higher than here
  19. I have now discovered this app and I fear I will become insufferable too haha
  20. Interestingly I discovered this forum just yesterday, when I decided that a PPL could be in my future, possibly a 30th birthday present from me to me.
  21. That's the only way we get to train riding uphill. I'm convinced though that in Welkom there is only headwinds, doesn't matter which direction you heading in.
  22. Any ideas when the Rand Airshow will be this year?
  23. Nice, and that is the sum total of SAA Assets Nothing from this Millenium
  24. Is the other one a Cessna?
  25. It was in Welkom in the Free State, every December the local publicity association organises some sort of a mini airshow. This year was the Harvards. Makes me miss when they actually organised a proper airshow at the local airport here. Used to be a massive thing. It helps having Brian Emmenis as a local here, he has a lot of contacts that he uses to show his home town some love.
