  1. The second round of the 2016 KZNMTB Provincial DHI and Enduro Series – presented by Greg Minnaar Cycles takes place at Giba Gorge MTB Park (near Pinetown) on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March. The first round of the season impressed those involved with the turn out of participants and level of racing in the younger age groups.   2. The second round of the 2016 KZNMTB Provincial XCO Series takes place at a new venue this year – Mazarat MTB Park – in Waterfall on Saturday 5 March. KZNMTB saw a fantastic turn out at the first round, which took place at the forests of Hilton earlier this month.   3. St. Ives Lodge and Restaurant on the Midlands Meander shared its MTB Park and Trails with the 2016 KZNMTB Provincial Downhill Series – presented by Greg Minnaar Cycles on Sunday 21 February. The most memorable moment of the day was for Junior Christopher Philogene, when he beat the time set by multiple World Champion Greg Minnaar and took the overall men’s title.   8. The 2016 KZNMTB Provincial Series is set to kick off with a bang as the province signs a new presenting sponsor – Greg Minnaar Cycles – for the Enduro and Downhill events.   9. On the 6th and 7th June Enduro and DH riders descended upon Cascades Mountain Bike Park in Pietermaritzburg for the 2015 KZNMTB Regional Championships presented by NMI-DSM. The event brings to a close a highly successful 2015 race season, with a 3 round series and 1 championship event hosted at bike parks around the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The venue is well known to most riders having hosted 4 World Cups and 1 World Championship, and again did not disappoint, with steep and technical, as well as physically demanding trails awaiting the riders. Mid-winter in South Africa meant crisp cold mornings, but no rain for weeks before the event leaving the tracks dry and dusty ready to powder up during racing. Click here to view the article
  10. KZN's premiere MTB Park, Giba Gorge near Pinetown played host to the 3rd and final round of the KZNMTB Enduro and Downhill Series presented by NMI-DSM, on the 18th and 19th April. The Enduro event took place on Saturday 18th, attracting a field of 120 riders who would battle it out for final points over four dusty, loose stages. Click here to view the article
  11. The 2015 KZNMTB Downhill Series came to a thrilling close on the 19th April with the 3rd and final round being held at Giba MTB Park outside Pinetown. The technical albeit short Downhill track at Giba Gorge did not disappoint, with overcast but dry and dusty conditions greeting the riders for morning practice. Click here to view the article
