  3. Roval is owned by Specialized and has been seen on their bikes for some years now. Roval is now trying to build towards becoming a more independent brand with a focus on also offering wheel options for aftermarket buyers. For 2017, Roval has refreshed many of their wheels and have released an all-new Control SL carbon wheelset that is lighter and wider than previous models. Take a look at the press release below for more information on the new Control SL wheelset and the rest of the 2017 range of Roval wheels. Click here to view the article
  4. On Friday, at the Tour Down Under, Bora-Hansgrohe and Quick-Step Floors debuted the entirely-new Roval CLX 50, where it should prove to be the riders’ wheels of choice for most stages. At 50mm in depth and ranging in weight from 1,230-1,425 grams per-pair, depending on configuration, CLX 50 is the ultimate all-around road wheelset – striking the perfect balance between lightweight, aerodynamics, and impeccable handling, unlike any wheelset before it. 5. Anyone have any info on these gold Rovals? Supposedly they're for Sagan's Venge disk bike but I haven't actually seen them on a bike. Hoping he pulls them out some time during the Tour Down Under. Either way, they look sexy as heck! http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/2017/01/12/1/1_670.jpg
  6. Hi there, I'm currently in the market for a new wheelset, obvious choice would be a carbon set, but that is way to expensive. My options are: * Roval Alloy * American Classic Wide Lighting * ZTR Crest / Archex / Flowex American Classic Race Hope you guys can help.
  7. Is there anyone that can tell me what 26" frames can take a 142+ rear hub wheel? I've been trying to get the information from the internet and clearly my google skills are lacking in that department. All info I got was that it's a Specialized specific issue but can't see what bikes in the Specialized range. I bought a Roval Control SL Trail Carbon wheelset that has a 142+ rear hub, and I'm looking to maybe get a frame that would fit the wheels as it seems I might have difficulty selling the wheels.
  8. I would really appreciate it if anyone was able to give me advise if it is possible to use Roval Control SL Trail Carbon wheelset with 142+ rear hub in a normal 135mm spacing frame. I bought the wheelset not even aware that the 26" version of these wheels was even available with a 142+ hub. Any advise would be highly appreciated. I really hope I haven't wasted my time and money in buying a wheelset that I can't use. Spent a few randelas getting new rotors, qr adapters, skewers, valves and tyres for the new wheelset and was a massive disappointment when I saw the "142 plus" on the hub.
  9. Hi, Looking for some info, real life experience on the Specialized Roval Control Carbon 29 wheels. (Not the SL's) http://www.specialized.com/za/en/ftb/wheels/roval-mtb-xc-race/roval-control-29-carbon These are pretty much standard on the Marathon and similar specced Epic's it seems. Are these tough enough for like Epic?Anyone had one of these wheels fail?Easy to get a tyre seated (Racing Ralph?)I weigh about 80kgs - would I be better off with a set of ZTR Crests or are these a worthwhile upgrade?Any info appreciated.
