Ive had my bike for 2 weeks. I do a lot of rocks, sand and gravel and now my crank has developed a slight grinding noise. I haven't ridden the bike since it made the noise, but I have cleaned most of the muck off with paraffin. Everything looks like new now, but there is still a creak in the pedals and the annoying sandy crank.

If its not a difficult process to pull the crank, I dont mind doing it...

Pulling the crank is easy with the right tool, but I'm sure the BB is sealed on that model, so not much that you can do than cleaning the outside of the BB once the crank is removed.

Henco, thats exactly where the sand/muck is in.

But I would have to do pull the crank either way right?

Where should I look for some dedicated Cycle Tools? CWCycles?

Always handy to have a crank puller as well as a tool to remove the BB. I bought a crank puller from Sportsmanswarehouse, but I'm sure most cycle shops will sell it.
