HRM for cycling and running

Hey guys,

 

I am in the market for a HRM,

i am looking for a full HRM/computer for my mtb with altitude readings and a general one for running as i use the gps on my phone for running.

I have looked at the Sigma Rox and the Polar CS 500.

My budget is R 2,500.00.

 

Have you got any suggestions of other products or which of these two would best suite me.

Another one to consider would be the Polar S720/725. Gives you a full breakdown of your ride complete with altitude, speed, HR, temperature, etc.

 

I picked mine up for around R2500, but that was a while back.

Cant seem to find that new anywhere,

must be an older model.

 

Any other suggestions or opinions out there?

Polar S720/725, is highly recommend you can use the same thing for running and riding, you will have to buy one 2nd hand though I'm sure as they are slightly older.

 

My dad paid R 800 about two weeks back for one with everything excluding foot pod and cadence sensor

I would prefer not buying second hand.
