Handlebar Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Lets say you had an average entry level bike. If you could upgrade any one item what would it be? Fork, brakes, frame, tubeless tyres, etc.

Capricorn Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 entry level bikes tend to have so-so quality drive train components. I'd start with the brakes, and take disc brakes with reach-adjustment. Reach adjustment has been a heaven_send for me.

stewie911 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Well that really depends on what bike and components it currently has. Seems like you're talking mtb. I'd say go tubeless. Cheapest upgrade and it really is a good upgrade.
Handlebar Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 I've had three puncture today riding an old bike. Tubeless is a lot less hassle. But I think I'd upgrade the fork.
gummibear Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Fork will make a huge difference to the way it rides. A change in crank will drop the weight a bit so too will the wheels.
rock Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Will always notice the most difference with wheels - lightest tubeless set up you can afford and that obviously matches your riding style etc.
