Do you just want to patch the tube or replace the whole thing? The former's fairly straightforward, the latter requires a bit more creativity

I did not even know you could fix a tubbie. Bought about 3 new tubbies in the last 2 months

Does that mean you throw them away when you get a puncture ?

It is an expensive tubbie that probably had slime in which went dry over time as the tubbie deflated. The inner walls stick to each other and rips when you pump it up.Hence I think the tube needs replacing which guys do abroad for about 25 dollar.

Years ago (before slime) I rode tubbies. Used to fix the punctures. Never thought of replacing a whole tube. The thought of stitching an entire tubbie would be too much to contemplate. Becomes an expensive hobby :)

I find that the ride is never quite the same after.Because you pump these babies up so hard you can feel the patch inside tubby. I rode with one for alomst two years and it was OK. The next one I fixed rolled a lot worse perhaps bad job), so took off after one ride.

So nowadays, it is throw away for me  after punctures. Touch wood last one was in the 2008 ACT
