Tyre popped of rim

Easy to say? What tyre is the most used at the Epic? Mt resources told me it was the Conti's. I went that route and not sorry for one moment. Most Pro's also seems to be on the Conti's.

 

Yeah, I recon the Epic is a fine testing ground to see what works and what does not...

I'm newly converted to the conti combo ans thus far only have raves!! Still need some real mud to make a proper verdict...bring on the winter!!!

Maybe i will look at the contis again. Are there also different vesions (ust, tubeless ready, foldable etc)? Which tread pattern in wc winter?

Any known issues with geax tyres??

 

I have been riding on 29er Geax AKA's TNT on ZTR Flow rims for about a month now. I am about 100 kg and run about 2bar back and front without any problems at all. It is a real bugger to fit the tyre on the rim (so I'm told by my LBS), but once fitted you don't get one drop of sealant leaking and the pressure stays pretty even. I don't know how the AKA's will handle wet terrain but they have been good in dry conditions (they look a lot like the Kenda Small Block Eight - great in the dry by not too good in the mud)

Decided to go with the RR SNAKESKIN. Was a free replacement, so will give them another chance. That bead is so tight, cant believe the previous one jumped of the rim.
