those plastic grates are a fairly recent addition (installed in the last few months).

I prefer not to use them. I find most times the wooden bridges provide enough traction. Only times they really require caution is mornings when they're dew covered, when they're wet, and worst of all... when they have frost on them.

But as tumbleweed said... momentum before the bridge, hold your line (no sudden changes in course) and you'll be fine.

As for the barbwire... I have nearly landed in it myself a while back when washing out on a wet bridge at the opposite end of the park. Yes, it's a potential danger... but I feel there is ample space on any bridge there with barbwire next to it so that the rider can safely pass by.

Compared to the bike parks in BC... MTN's bridges are tame, and barbwire would be the least of your worries ;)

More likely scenario: you'll have to help Patches off the jump track!

Hi I'm patches and I'm a jump-a-holic. I've been bail free for 2 months now

*everyone else says "Hi patches"*

But hey... have your laugh now... but remember... those green trails will get you, again, tumbeweed! haha!

Hahahahahahaha! What right do the Cycle Park peeps have putting a bloody stump right there on the side of a trail where it could catch an unsuspecting rider's foot?  Conor did remember to point that part out to me on Sunday! He laughed...but not for too long...
