Recent infestation of SIDs for sale...

So I am confused as to why there have been so many Rock Shox Sids for sale lately... Strange: last year and early this year there was a phase with thousands of Fox F100s flying through here, now it's the Sids' turn.

 

On that note, how much stiffer is a Sid than a Reba... I like the whole light weight thing, but plushness means more. Is the Sid very harsh? (I love my Reba, am considering a Sid for my XC race rig...)

I've only ridden a Fox and now a SID and to me the SID can take big hits well but is stiffer initially so less overall movement when just riding but it can be a bit of a harsh ride a times, but I prefer it that way.

 

That being said it depends how you set the SID up as the -/+ air allows for allot of variation. You can have it moving over every pebal

For all round trail riding the SID is too hard. Maybe the race snakes like it that way, but for us normal okes at the back it's just not comfy enough. The small bump compliance is just not good enough. And I'm riding mine with 30% sag, so it's not like I'm not trying to get the best out of it. I have a SID xx and I'm going to replace it with a Fox again.
