Some time ago we saw some Litespeed mountain bikes being advertised from Indonesia. The bikes were spec'd with the latest groupsets at unbelievable prices. Digging deeper my European partner contacted the sales director from Litespeed to query the adverts. It turns out that they were scammers using pics from a prototype bike being ridden by one of Litespeed's sponsored pro's that had been released a week before. These guys are on the ball & will take you for all they can.

Steer clear of them!

Hi Guys

Im looking at bringing in some bikes from Indonesia and was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with Adira sport in Medan Indonesia? The bike prices seems to good to be true but if anyone has dealt with them please give me reviews on service and product quality. If I get good reviews from the guys that has dealt with them before the hubbers will be in for some good prices on Giant, Specialized and Cannondale bikes.

Thank you for your reviews.

Be carefull, these are most definately scams. Take a look at these two frames and you'll clearly see why you pay so much for the one, and SO much more for the other.

Okay – normally those things are a total con!!! But at my cycling club there are two guys (father & son) who bought some top end bikes from somewhere in Asia (I think it was Indonesia). I know those two fairly well (not a story of – a cousins friend’s ex-girlfriend’s boss told them …).

They got totally scammed and lost money.

But wait there is more – then they decided to do it again but took a different approach. And it worked!

Now they have two top end bikes with top components. The bikes are total eye-candy and cycling-porn!!!!

Personally - i think you should stay away from this offer.

Are you talking about the guys in the club that are riding chinarellos?Seen the bikes at the LBS but too scared to point it out to them in case they don't know they got fakes.

Beware...see below.*

Unless you're prepared to get on a plane and go to Indonesia to meet your new business partners, stay the hell away. You are in for an assraping, and nobody enjoys that. Well, nobody +1.

What he says

Naaaah, nothing wrong with them, I brought in a fantastic Cervelo P4 from them. go for it.

Ya silly clown. That could cost the man his wife... <_<

**Chap

Bought in some Shimano components before. After much Skype and IR. Worked ok and prices really good, but then 'contact' disappeared... <_<

Then got onto a deal for some V10's and Mongoose DH machines, but as part of IR contacted Santa Cruz directly. Three hours later the site and all contacts......GONE!

If you can fly, establish cred, and visit premises, it is worthwhile.
