Bat-ass Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Does anyone have any experience with upgrading to 10sp XT, but running with a 9sp front derailler and front shifter?So basicly, would it be possible to just change the Crank, right hand shifter and rear derailler, and obviously chain / cassette?
AndreZA Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Personally, I don't think it is even necessary to change the cranks. The new ramps and directional chain is for better shifting, not because it is 10-speed. Right lever, cassette, derailleur and chain is all I would change.

I dont know if the 10sp chainrings are thinner to accomodate the 10sp chain??
