Giant 29er vs Momsen 29er

I just want to know what you guys the of the Giant XTC 29er-1 and the 2012 Momsen AL529.

 

The Momsen is only arriving in SA within 1-2 weeks.

 

Which one is the better option and why would you choose it?

They are similarly specced. The Giant just has a better fork and comes with a crappier wheelset. The Momsen's wheelset seems better. Everyone who buys a Giant tends to sell the wheels the moment they buy it.

 

Why not save R5k more and go the for the Momsen Dual link 6? Much better components and it's a softail.

Maybe Danger Dassie could shed some light here!? I rode with him on Wednesday evening and he had a Momsen AL529 on test.

 

From what I could see, it was a great looking bike with a decent spec.

 

But I didn't ride it, so can't comment from that point of view.

Compare their geometry and pick the one that suits you best.

If you are not sure, get measured up or have a proper bike fit done.

Correct fit should out rank better components.
