I'm in the process of getting the kit together to build up a Reynolds 853 steel Niner MCR. In the Niner owners manual they strongly recommend using the following product on their steel frames - JD Weigle's "Frame Saver" which is a coating sprayed into steel tubing to prohibit the tubes rusting from the inside out.

I figured dropping a hundred bucks or so for peace of mind might be prudent but does anyone know where you can find this product or suggest an alternative that's worth a try?

Thanks in advance,

What about Boeshield t9 it's available from the Bicicletta fire sale Contact shamus or check their website: Bicicletta

Thanks Mecnic...exactly what I was looking for...shot man!

Apparently you'll have to re-apply every few months if you use WD40 whereas Boeshield or Frame Saver leaves a waxy residue which doesn't wash off or "run" at all.
