ParkTool PFP6 pump

My pump cannot pump higher than 3 bar before air starts coming out the bottom of the cylinder. My LBS has exchanged it twice now and the problem still persists. The first replacement could not even pump so it was replaced. The replacement of the next pump worked once only. Same problem. Have tightened the thing but to no avail.

 

My LBS will not be too happy when I take this one back. Have mailed the importers in Cape Town but they do not answer their mails

Any comments/suggestions?
