Cycleops Speed Sensor without powertap Hub

Hi Guys

 

How do you let your speed sensor work on your bike if you haven't got the powertap hub attatched to your bike e.g. for a race. I've used the Learn 1 function and have the speed sensor's ID but when I simply spin the wheel and let the CPU 'find' the sensor it doesn't pick it up

Have you set the speed / cadence sensor as a speed sensor? Open up the battery cover and remove the battery ensure it is set to speed, re learn and try find again

yes I have..and it's ID is registered under Spd sensor, not Cad sensor. Does your speed sensor work (keep the CPU going and have time, distance etc.) when only the Speed sensor is connected, without the Powertap hub?

Then u need to change the set up from a power tap to a bike computer, this can be done in power agent under configure device, download the latest power agent off www.cycleops.com products software

okay cool thanks, but will i still be able to see my power display? and use the data on WKO+?

You will have to change it every time you take your pt wheel off and want to use the CPU as a bike computer vs a power meter.
