I would like to thank Marwaan of Caledonion cycles in Muizenberg, for going out of his way the night before the Argus.At 9 o clock Sat night ,Marwaan opened his shop to help fix my bike so that I can start the next morning.Great service from a guy I met for the first time sat.Hope your shop goes from strength to strength.

Been hearing a lot more about the "smaller" shops doing fantastic work.

Maybe we should give them more opportunity to show their worth ... especially if you're searching for a reliable LBS.

Just out of curiosity, what did you do to your bike or how do you only realize that your bike needs attention less than 9hrs before the start of the World Funride Champs?

 

You entered in September 2011, like the rest of us right?

Nothing wrong with bike I was restless and decided to replace the headset bolt(hole where allen key goes in worn)with a bolt I had bought a few weeks earlier.Bolt I had ended up being the wrong one & I could not put the old one back.I was stupid to attempt this ,learned my lesson and will reserve the night before World Funride Champs to just polishing bike.

Nothing wrong with bike, I bolt with bolt. Bolt wrong, I stupid. My lesson ... just bike.

 

So, there was nothing wrong with your bike and the man still opened his shop? Hats off to Marwaan! Hope you sent him a case of beer!
